Unfortunately for the West Bromwich Albion, this year’s squad wasn’t good enough to keep the club in the Premier League.

Their eight-year stay in the top division has come to an end having mustered only 31 games from 38 matches played.

Caretaker boss Darren Moore did his best to turn the tide, but it ultimately wasn’t enough and the Baggies must now put together a squad capable of returning at the first time of asking.

That task could prove difficult given the absence of a permanent manager/head coach, although club directors are keen to make an appointment sooner rather than later.
