McClean linked with switch to Stoke
West Brom winger James McClean is a target for fellow relegation side Stoke City, according to the Mirror.
New Potters boss Gary Rowett has made McClean his first target after moving from Derby County.
However, Albion are reportedly playing hardball over the valuation for McClean, after Stoke offered £4 million for the winger. Albion are seeking £6 million for the winger, who did admit that Albion’s relegation could see him move on.
It is also yet to be seen whether McClean could make the switch to a Championship rival. McClean could be just one of a number of players moving on after the Baggies relegation, with Soloman Rondon being linked with a move to a number of clubs, including Premier League sides.
McClean joined Albion from Wigan Athletic in 2015 for a fee of around £1.5 million, turning down a move to the MLS with New York Red Bulls in the process.
