Leicester City have completed the signing of Jonny Evans from West Bromwich Albion.
The Northern Ireland international pens a three-year contract at the King Power Stadium after Claude Puel’s side activated Evans’ relegation release clause at West Brom.
Evans was heavily linked with a move away from the Hawthorns throughout last season and a deal has finally been sealed, with a move to Leicester confirmed.
The ex-Manchester United defender underwent medical examinations with the Foxes on Thursday ahead of a reported £3.5m move and it seems all went smoothly for Evans as he begins a new chapter of his career.
Evans joined West Brom in 2015 and has since been a vital player for the club over the years.
However, Darren Moore has seen the experienced centre-back depart and will now look to replace him adequately as the Baggies continue their preparations for next season in the Championship.
