West Brom have set their sights on Brentford midfielder Ryan Woods as they continue to overhaul their squad.

The Birmingham Mail reports that the Baggies are keen to not only land Romaine Sawyers from Brentford but want Wood to follow his teammate to the Hawthorns.

New Baggies boss Darren Moore is said to be a fan of the midfielder and is keen to make him a key part of his squad next season.

Woods was one of Brentford’s best performers last season, playing a key role in their side who narrowly missed out on the play-offs.

West Brom expect to lose the likes of Jake Livermore, leaving a huge gap in the middle of the park.

Bobby Reid is expected to become the club’s first signing since dropping into the Championship, with Moore keen to recruit younger players who can develop with the club in the second tier.
