West Brom are reportedly contemplating a fresh summer swoop to sign Fenerbahce midfielder Josef de Souza.

The Brazilian was a top target for West Brom throughout the course of last season and according to reports, the Baggies had a bid turned down by Fenerbahce last August.

Despite West Brom’s relegation since their last offer, it seems that their interest in recruiting De Souza has not yet deteriorated, with Turkish news outlet A Spor claiming that Darren Moore’s side are considering a new pursuit of the player.

It seems as though the Baggies are out to add to their already strong pool of midfield options this summer, with reports today claiming that they are keen to recruit Ryan Woods from Brentford.

De Souza appears to be a genuine target, though, and it seems that the club are giving some serious thought to another offer for the player.

Damien Comolli, who was recently appointed as Fenerbahce’s new sporting director, is stated by A Sport to be willing to listen to offers for De Souza, with the player’s future in Turkey currently uncertain.
