Former Middlesbrough and Huddersfield Town defender Martin Cranie featured as a trialist for West Brom in their pre-season victory over Barnet.
The Birmingham Mail reports that he and former Baggies defender Kieran Richardson are currently training with the club.
The latter has been out of the game since being released by Cardiff back in 2017.
Cranie was released by Middlesbrough at the end of last season after making just a handful of appearances for the club.
He was involved in Huddersfield’s promotion campaign and played a handful of games in the Premier League for the Terriers.
Should any deal for the defender go through then he would provide valuable Championship experience with the Baggies aiming to go straight back up to the top flight.
It has since been reported that both players are hoping to seal moves this summer, but that is unlikely to be at West Brom, who are just helping the players keep their fitness levels up.
