West Brom have reportedly made contact with Leeds United over a deal to sign defender Pontus Jansson.
Swedish outlet Expressen claims that the recently-relegated side are interested in a summer deal.
There is also thought to be interest from Premier League sides, but no clubs have been named in the report.
It is yet to be seen how interested Leeds would be in the idea of selling to a direct rival.
Jansson has impressed during his time in England and has often been linked with moves away in the past.
Southampton have previously been keen to sign the defender, but it remains unclear if they will reignite their interest this summer.
Jansson remains under contract at Leeds until 2022, meaning the Baggies would be forced to put their hands in their pockets to secure a deal.
Darren Moore is keen to strengthen defensively and has also been linked with former Leeds loanee Kyle Bartley.
