West Brom have made £3m bid to Rangers for right-back James Tavernier, according to Sky Sports.

The Baggies are looking to find an upgrade on Allan Nyom and it seems like the Rangers captain is the man they want to bring in.

Whether the Glasgow-based club would be willing to let their skipper leave at such a late stage in the window remains to be seen, whilst the Baggies are not the only team interested in the 26-year-old.

Brighton & Hove Albion have also been linked with a move for the former Wigan Athletic defender, but they are yet to make a bid.

With less than 24 hours to go before the transfer window closes, Albion will be hoping that things progress quickly, although it’s not yet known if the player is even for sale.

Tavernier is under contract at Ibrox until 2021 so there is no great need for Steven Gerrard’s side to sell him at this time.
