West Brom will be hoping to force their way back into the play-off places on Friday night when they come up against local rivals Birmingham City.
The Baggies are currently sat in 9th place but with the top half still extremely tight at this early stage of the season, Darren Moore’s men will sense an opportunity to force their way back into contention with a win at St Andrew’s.
West Brom will head into the clash full of confidence after seeing off Stoke City 2-1 at the Hawthorns prior to the international break.
Birmingham, meanwhile, are in the midst of a treacherous run of form, with the Blues failing to win a single match in the Championship so far this season. Garry Monk’s men have clinched three draws and lost on two occasions at this early stage.
West Brom have been playing well in recent times and will hope to defeat Birmingham on their home turf. Here’s our predicted Baggies line-up.
Johnstone is all but set to continue in between the sticks.
Dawson is set to line up on the right of the three-man defence.
Occupying the central defensive berth, Hegazi is poised to start.
Bartley is in line to make up the back three.
On the right flank, Phillips is set to start.
Livermore gave away a penalty against Stoke but is unlikely to be displaced in central midfield.
Brunt is likely to partner Livermore in the middle of the park.
Out on the left flank, Gibbs will keep his place.
Drifting between the lines, Barnes is expected to play as the number 10.
Rodriguez will look to continue his impressive form up front.
Gayle, who has been the name on West Brom fans’ lips in recent times, will hope to fire again.
