West Brom travel to Lancashire on Saturday to face Preston, with the Baggies in sizzling form.
Despite a 3-0 defeat in the League Cup at the hands of Crystal Palace on Tuesday, the West Midlanders have won their last two Championship matches, scoring six goals in the process.
A torrid start to the season for Preston leaves them rooted to the bottom of the table, with just one win in nine.
Here’s how we think West Brom might line up against Preston:
GK: Sam Johnstone
The shot-stopper is in the process of making the position his own, despite competition from Jonathan Bond.
CB: Craig Dawson
Likely to play a back three, Dawson could be tasked with holding down the perimeter of the defensive line.
CB: Ahmed Hegazi
The Egyptian is one of the more capable defenders in the Championship, and could be critical in a possible promotion push.
CB: Kyle Bartley
Experience counts when defending in the Championship; a commodity Bartley has in an abundance.
RWB: Matt Phillips
Running the right flank is likely to be Phillips, who has enjoyed a strong start to the season. Scoring four goals in nine league appearances, the wide-man looks at home in the Championship.
CM: Jake Livermore
The reliable box-to-box presence will be one of the first names on Darren Moore’s team-sheet.
CM: Chris Brunt
A threat to pick apart a defence with a precise pass any time he gets the ball.
LWB: Kieran Gibbs
A more defensively able wing-back than Phillips, Gibbs scored against Millwall last weekend.
AM: Harvey Barnes
The Leicester loan star continues to amaze Baggies fans, who will be praying Claude Puel chooses not to recall the attacking threat.
ST: Jay Rodriguez
Six goals in nine games for Rodriguez, who will be itching to get back into the Premier League.
ST: Dwight Gayle
I think it’s fair to say West Brom are blessed with a pair of Premier League forwards in the Championship.
