Leicester City Claude Puel has confirmed that on loan midfielder Harvey Barnes will remain at West Bromwich Albion for the whole season, putting an end to rumours of a potential recall of the England under-21 international in January.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference before the Foxes face Arsenal on Monday night the Leicester boss said it was not “normal prioirty” to recall players on loan.

Harvey Barnes has set the world alight at The Hawthorns this season earning plaudits across the country for his performances. The 20-year-old has five goals and two assists so far this season which has helped fire the Baggies to the top three in the Championship table.

Due to Barnes playing so well rumours began to circulate about a recall option in January that Leicester had the right to activate. Albion fans now don’t need to worry as Puel confirms the midfielder will be staying at The Hawthorns until the end of the season.
