West Brom are set to name a new head of recruitment, with former West Ham and Blackburn defender Ian Pearce set to take over the role.
Pearce had been the scouting director at Brighton, but according to the Daily Mail, he will now be taking over at Albion.
This follows the appointment of Luke Dowling as technical director last month, with Albion attempting to restructure as they attempt to return to the top flight.
West Brom have had a good start to life in the Championship, but are still looking for an instant return to the top flight.
Speaking after getting the role last month, Luke Dowling said:
Darren’s now got a system – it took him two or three games to find it and as we speak, it’s working.
We’re looking to recruit players that can fit in that system and players, like ones we have got, who are good enough to switch.
The back three can play a back four, the midfielders can play in a two.
We want players that are adaptable and can play in many systems, but ultimately this is a system we enjoy.
