West Brom still interested in Tavernier
West Brom are still interested in summer transfer target James Tavernier, according to the Birmingham Mail.
The Baggies were reportedly interested in signing Rangers’ captain last summer, but the club couldn’t push a deal for the right-back through.
According to the Mail, who cite the Daily Record, the club are preparing another offer for the 26-year old full-back, with coach Darren Moore said to rate Tavernier highly.
Albion, who sent a scout to watch Tavernier in action on Sunday in the BetFred Cup semi-final, had two bids turned down for the former Wigan defender in the summer.
Tavernier signed for Rangers in 2015, scoring 34 goals in 160 games across all competitions.
