West Brom have been handed a major fitness boost with the news that both Kieran Gibbs and Ahmed Hegazi could return this weekend.
Speaking ahead of West Brom’s game against Hull, as reported by the Express and Star, Darren Moore confirmed that the pair could be involved.
We’ve had some good news on Kieran Gibbs and Ahmed [Hegazi]. Dwight [Gayle] we will see, he’s 50/50, and Gareth Barry we will see. We’ve got a training session today. We’ll put both players in there and see how they get on. We’ll give them every opportunity to make the game because they’re both eager to play.
It is yet to be seen if both players will come in from the start, but their return will hand a huge boost to Moore’s men, who are looking to continue their push for promotion.
Both players are among the most experienced in the squad and their know-how will be crucial for West Brom going forward.
Despite many expecting Gibbs to leave over the summer, the former Arsenal man was short of suitors and he remained at West Brom to help fight for an immediate return to the Premier League.
He and Hegazi, who himself attracted interest over the summer, have been mainstays in the West Brom team this season.
