Premier League clubs Burnley and Cardiff City are interested in signing West Bromwich Albion winger Matt Phillips this month, according to a report on the Mirror.
The winger has been in good form so far this season for the Baggies in the Championship, finding the back of the net five times and registering six assists.
With Cardiff looking to strengthen their right side of midfield, Neil Warnock has identified Phillips as a target.
Burnley are also hoping to fire themselves away from relegation this season and Clarets’ boss Sean Dyche is an admirer of Phillips.
The 27-year-old currently has 18 months remaining on his contract with the Baggies, who are expected to fight their hardest to keep hold of him.
West Brom have their own ambitions of gaining promotion to the Premier League, but the lure of immediate top-flight action could convince Phillips to make the move this month.
West Brom are trying to fend off interest in the winger by offering him a new contract.
