Former West Brom forward Giles Barnes is unlikely to make a return to the Hawthorns, despite training with the first team.
According to Matt Wilson of the Express and Star, the 30-year-old has been training with the club in order to maintain his fitness levels and will not be re-joining, as West Brom seek promotion back to the Premier League.
Barnes made 28 appearances for West Brom between 2009-11 but failed to score during his short stint at the Birmingham club.
Most recently, he’s been plying his trade in the MLS, representing Houston Dynamo, Vancouver Whitecaps and Orlando City.
The Jamaican international is currently a free agent after being released by Colorado Rapids at the end of the 2018 season, and there were some suggestions that Moore could hand him a second chance at the Hawthorns.
However, that does not appear to be the case, with Moore merely helping out a former team-mate.
