West Brom pursuing Hayden deal
West Brom are looking to complete an unlikely deal to sign Newcastle midfielder Isaac Hayden this month.
John Percy of The Telegraph reports that the Baggies are eager to add the former Arsenal youngster to their ranks, but a completing a deal could be difficult.
Percy claims that Darren Moore’s side have been offered ‘little encouragement’ from the Premier League side at this moment in time.
Newcastle are likely to demand that a replacement is signed before Hayden is allowed to leave.
With Rafa Benitez working on a limited budget, it remains to be seen what transfer business they will do this month if any.
Hayden has been linked with a move away from Newcastle for some time after falling out of favour under Benitez.
He played a key role in their promotion from the Championship but has since been used sparingly in the Premier League, raising concerns over his long-term future at the club.
