George Saville put Boro ahead early on, before Jay Rodriguez levelled for Albion.
Dwight Gayle would edge Albion ahead in the second half before Britt Assombalonga handed a huge blow to Albion’s automatic hopes.
The forward netted twice in the last 20 minutes, giving Pulis a win on his return to the Hawthorns.
