West Brom boss Darren Moore has issued an update on the fitness of striker Hal Robson-Kanu, the Express and Star reports.
The Wales international hobbled off during the Baggies’ 3-1 extra-time defeat to Brighton in the FA Cup in midweek, but Moore is hoping Robson-Kanu’s injury is not as bad as initially feared.
Speaking ahead of West Brom’s trip to Stoke on Saturday evening, the Baggies manager revealed the Welshman’s knock will be assessed further following an initial scan:
He’ll have an in-depth scan today but the ultrasound showed fluid on his thigh which suggests it’s just a strain. We’ll gladly take that if it is. We feel that’s down to the volume of games. The medical team will give me more information but hopefully it’s not as bad as first feared.
Robson-Kanu has featured 29 times for West Brom in all competitions so far this season, scoring three times.
The Baggies could move back up into fourth with victory against Stoke on Saturday evening, but Moore’s side have won just won of their last five in the Championship.
