The Baggies players and interim manager Jamie Sheen’s combined efforts led to an impressive 3-0 victory against Swansea City.

West Brom seemed to play in a 4-5-1 formation with Chris Brunt as captain in the centre of the midfield ensuring players stay in shape. The 34-year-old Baggies veteran also managed to get himself a goal and an assist throughout the course of the game.

The Albion were a different side to what we have seen recently, every player stayed in shape helping to gain possession and create chances as a team, rather than playing the long ball. For this reason, opportunities to score came through Mason Holgate and Conor Townsend delivering threatening balls into the box as well as Harper, Livermore and Rodriguez playing defence-splitting balls into Gayle.

However, there is still much room for improvement. With a bit of luck, Swansea may have been able to win the game as they had 70% possession and tested Johnstone more than enough times to get three or four goals, but it wasn’t to be.
