Caretaker boss James Shan is expected to be in charge of West Brom once again when the Baggies host Preston North End in the Championship on Saturday.
Shan’s future at the club has been under constant speculation since he took caretaker charge following the sacking of Darren Moore last month, and West Brom’s 3-2 defeat to playoff rivals Bristol City cast even more doubt over his temporary tenure.
However, Express and Star reporter Matt Wilson believes Shan will still be in charge of the Baggies this weekend for Preston’s trip to the Hawthorns.

Shan saw his side fall to a second consecutive defeat in the Championship on Tuesday night, following last weekends 2-0 loss to relegation threatened Millwall.
However the Baggies are still nine points clear of Middlesbrough, who are one place below the playoff spots, with five league games remaining.
