Class performance from the off. The Baggies were in control throughout and created an abundance of goal scoring opportunities in the final third.

The Albion were at their best today opening the scoring with a Dwight Gayle volley just 6 yards out from a Chris Brunt floater into the danger area.

Just 4 minutes Gayle doubles the lead with a right-footed from the centre of the box into the bottom left corner.

However, that wasn’t all Shans men had to offer, just before half time Jay Rodriguez got himself on the score sheet with the ball falling to him in behind the defence which he could not fail to put away.

The second half came around and The Baggies looked stronger and stronger, Dwight Gayle managed to take advantage of a goal-line scramble by getting his head to the loose ball from close range.

Sadly the defence still managed to concede late on into the second half, but it wasn’t too unsettling the home fans to watch.

Great all-around show. All too familiar watching five at the back, almost as if watching a Darren Moore side in its prime.
