West Brom will have to do without midfielder Gareth Barry for the rest of the season, with the midfielder requiring surgery on a knee injury.
Barry, who has been ever-present for the Baggies this season, will miss the remainder of Albion’s Championship fixtures, including any potential play-off run.
Matt Wilson of the Express and Star revealed the news, with Barry set for surgery soon.
The midfielder has made 24 appearances for Albion in the league this season.
Barry has been a constant presence in the West Brom team since making the move from Everton in the Summer of 2017.
At 38 years old, Barry is certainly a veteran of the sport and this surgery does put doubt on how long he could continue to play at the standard Albion expect.
West Brom will, therefore, have to do without their midfielder for the final few games in the Championship before James Shan’s side enter the play-offs next month.
