Galatasaray scouting Rondon ahead of potential swoop
Turkish giants Galatasaray are interested in a deal to sign West Brom striker Salomon Rondon in the summer.
According to Takvim, via HITC, Galatasaray are keen to bring Rondon to Turkey as they look to bolster their attacking options.
The report claims that they have been sending scouts to watch Rondon in action as they weigh up a swoop for the target man.
Rondon is currently out on loan to Newcastle in the Premier League, where he has impressed this season for Rafa Benitez’s side.
The forward has nine goals and five assists in the Premier League for Newcastle, as they look set for a fairly comfortable midtable finish.
There is an option in his loan deal at Newcastle for them to make it permanent, for around £16.5m, but there has been no indication as of yet as to whether or not they will exercise it.
Rondon joined West Brom in 2015 and scored 24 Premier League goals in three seasons for the club.
