West Brom have joined the race to sign highly-rated forward Erkan Eyibil from Mainz 05 as the youngster impresses numerous clubs around Europe.
The 17-year-old has been linked with fellow Championship club Aston Villa, as well as Premier League, sides Newcastle and West Ham. It is also believed that Fenerbahce and Beskitas are both keen on the attacker.
According to a Turkish Football, the Germany U18 international is being compared to Mesut Ozil in terms of his playing style which is one of the reasons why there is so much interest in Eyibil.

The teenager has been sensational at youth level for Mainz, scoring 17 goals in just 20 games this season.
There is no surprise Eyibil has caught the eyes of many top teams as the 17-year-old has huge potential and is certainly a star for the future.
West Brom will certainly be eager to keep one on the future as they aim to earn promotion back to the Premier League this season.

Andre Dozzell could be a shrewd signing if West Brom fail to earn promotion to the Premier League. Plenty of promise but probably needs second-tier football for the time being.
