West Brom and Rangers will reportedly go head to head in the race to sign Oldham Athletic defender George Edmundson, according to the Birmingham Mail.
The 21-year-old has been a key member for the Latics this season which has attracted interest from various Championship and Scottish sides.
However, it appears as if Rangers are considering making their interest concrete by placing an offer for the youngster at the end of the season.
Edmundson is valued at £500,000 by the League Two side and has been tipped for a bright future at a higher level.
The 6ft 3in defender has never turned out higher than League One level, so signing Edmundson could prove to be a risk from the Baggies.
Both Rangers and West Brom still have fixtures left in their respective campaigns, so a possible swoop for the player from the Baggies could be put on hold until they know where they will be playing next season.
