West Brom given major boost in hopes of keeping Harper
West Brom have been offered a major boost in their bid to keep Rekeem Harper at the club.
According to reports from the Daily Mail, Celtic will no longer pursue a deal to sign the player this summer.
The Hoops have had a bid accepted for Motherwell midfielder David Turnbull and are now set to pursue a deal for the young Scot instead.
Celtic were one of the favourites to land Harper this summer, prior to a potential move they went as far as inviting him up to Scotland and put on the VIP treatment in a bid to convince him to join the club.
Neil Lennon also watched the Championship play-off semi-final defeat against Aston Villa in an effort to get an up close and personal look at Harper.
The midfielder has been offered a new deal by West Brom, but as things stand, no decision has been made on his future.
