The report does claim that West Brom are not interested in selling Dawson, though, which may force Watford to consider their options.
Dawson made 45 appearances for West Brom in all competitions last season, scoring three times from defence – including a goal in the play-off semi-final clash with Aston Villa.
Since joining the Baggies from Rochdale in 2011, Dawson has played 225 times for West Brom and scored 16 goals, with the majority of his appearances coming in the Premier League.
West Brom Slaven Bilic will now be hoping that he can keep hold of the defender for the Championship next season.
