Jenkinson to snub West Brom move for Celtic
With a new manager at the helm of the Baggies, the search for summer recruits is well underway and Arsenal’s Carl Jenkinson is one of the club’s potential targets, according to Football Insider.
The defender is only 27 years of age and after spending most of his career at the Gunners, is ready to move on to pastures new this summer.
Celtic however, are also looking at the Englishman as a potential replacement for fellow full-back Kieran Tierney, who himself is being heavily linked with a move to join Arsenal.
Any deal with the Scottish giants could involve a player-plus-cash exchange, something Baggies fans won’t want to hear.
It is claimed that Celtic now appear to be the most likely destination for Jenkinson this summer, despite initial talks already taking place with West Brom.
Jenkinson has been in the Premier League with Arsenal for over eight years but has only made 41 league appearances and is now in search of more regular game time.
West Brom will be aiming to add depth to their squad in hope of winning promotion back to the English top flight next term, but Jenkinson may be one player they miss out on.
