Celtic ready to increase initial Rekeem Harper contract offer
Celtic have been heavily linked with a move for midfielder Rekeem Harper this summer after his West Brom contract expired on July 1.
According to Football Insider, the Hoops are ready to increase their initial contract offer with a bumper deal for the in-demand midfielder.
The report claims that Neil Lennon has made Harper a top priority after the Scottish champions missed out on Motherwell teenager David Turnbull.
The Baggies have also offered the midfielder a new deal, with Slaven Bilic keen on keeping the energetic box-to-box midfielder at The Hawthorns ahead of the new campaign.
Tottenham and Liverpool, along with Italian champions Juventus, have all been tracking the teenager ahead of a possible summer swoop, however, none of the three European giants have made an approach for the player.
Harper looks set to make a decision on his future in the coming days, and Baggies fans will be hoping the talented teenager decides to stay in the Midlands despite Celtic’s lucrative offer.
