West Brom are showing an interest in signing Brentford striker Neal Maupay this summer.

According to Matt Wilson, of the Express and Star, West Brom are tracking Maupay as they weigh up a move.

Sheffield United and Aston Villa are both also said to be keen on the French forward, with the former currently leading the race to prise him away from Griffin Park.

Maupay scored 28 goals in all competitions for Brentford last season, with Aston Villa’s Tammy Abraham and Norwich’s Teemu Pukki only scoring more in the league.

West Brom are said to be eager to sign two more strikers before the end of the window, after losing a number of players since the end of last season.

Jay Rodriguez completed a permanent move to Premier League side Burnley earlier this week, whilst the club are unable to sign Dwight Gayle permanently following the end of his loan spell from Newcastle.
