Baggies walk away from Albian Ajeti deal
West Brom will not be signing Basel forward Albian Ajeti this summer, after walking away from a potential deal.
The Express and Star suggest that a deal for the player to join the Baggies was close, only for the club to be put off by his sizeable wage demands.
While no fee was mentioned in the report, it is claimed that Albion could not agree personal terms with the striker who scored 21 goals last term.
It is said that a deal may not be off the cards completely, but the club have since moved on to looking at alternative targets.
The Baggies have been busy in the transfer market but Slaven Bilic is well aware that the club still need to strengthen in the final third.
Relieving the pressure on summer signing Kenneth Zohore is a priority for the new Baggies boss before the start of the new campaign.
