New West Brom signing Romaine Sawyers finally managed to make his first appearance at the Hawthorns on Saturday against Millwall, and a number of fans took to social media to praise the midfielder.
The former West Brom academy prospect never made an appearance for the Baggies before he left for Walsall in 2013, and six years later he finally made his return after Slaven Bilic brought him back to the club.
After the game, where Albion drew 1-1 with Millwall, Sawyers explained what the moment meant to him on Twitter.

It is always positive to see someone care so much about the club they play for, not the least when it’s someone playing for a club they grew up dreaming of playing for.
It’s clear to see how Sawyers’ comments have endeared him to many of the Albion faithful, and they’ll now be hoping he can carry that passion over to the pitch.
