Slaven Bilic will have no doubt been tasked with getting West Brom back into the Premier League when he was given the job over the summer, but he has endured a tough adjustment period to the Championship.

After narrowly missing out on promotion via the play-offs last season, West Brom are looking to make it second time lucky this season.

There have been plenty of changes to the squad. Bilic was given the opportunity to bring in some of his own players, including the likes of Romaine Sawyers and Croatian youth international Filip Krovinovic.

The club’s wage structure was slashed over the summer following some high-profile departures in the form of Salomon Rondon and Jay Rodriguez – but the club still have a squad capable of pushing for promotion out of the Championship.

West Brom certainly boast a squad with more than your average championship wage, but is it one good enough to secure a return to the Premier League?

In Kenneth Zohore and Sawyers, they have two experienced Championship recruits joining the club.

It’ll be down to Zohore and Charlie Austin to provide the goals to fire Albion up the league table and once the pair are fully up to speed, West Brom could boast one of the most potent strikeforces in the division.

Austin has struggled with match time and fitness problems in recent years, but if he can find his feet again in the Midlands, Bilic’s men will have every chance of securing promotion.

Three draws from five isn’t quite enough to have fans jumping for joy, but West Brom must be patient over the course of the summer and allow Bilic and his new-look squad time to adjust.
