West Brom aim to preserve their unbeaten home record when they take on Bristol City at The Hawthorns on Wednesday.
Albion are unbeaten in 15 games at home, winning 10 and drawing the remaining five.
It’s a quick turnaround for the Baggies as they will still be feeling the buzz of grabbing three points late on against Sheffield Wednesday last Saturday, but it might count for nothing if they don’t follow it up by getting maximum points here.
However, Bristol City won’t make this easy as they head into this game in impressive form. They are unbeaten in five and sit just outside the playoff positions in 7th place on 29 points.
Positive news for Slaven Bilic though, as he has a fully fit squad to choose from, which is boosted further by the return of key duo Romaine Sawyers and Jake Livermore who missed Saturday’s win due to suspension.
Nathan Ferguson also returns after he has now served his three-match ban from his sending off against Charlton.
The Baggies are currently four points clear of third-place Fulham and will be hoping to extend that gap.
Here’s how we think WBA will line up:
GK: Sam Johnstone
Number one choice and proving why with another solid performance last Saturday. Should start again.
RB: Darnell Furlong
The summer signing is likely to start yet another game after impressing so far this season.
CB: Semi Ajayi
Ajayi was moved into midfield last Saturday and was pretty ineffective. Has been solid at centre-back and should be back into that role midweek.
CB: Kyle Bartley
Was another solid performance at the weekend from Bartley and should retain his place, looking transformed under Bilic.
LB: Nathan Ferguson
The youngster returns from suspension and was missed over the last three games. Despite the rumours of a move away from The Hawthorns, I believe he will return to the starting XI.
CM: Jake Livermore (C)
The club captain is back from suspension and was a huge miss last Saturday along with Sawyers. Should return to the line up after performing so well this season.
CM: Romaine Sawyers
Set to start likewise after returning from his suspension. Will be gladly welcomed back into the team to add composure to the midfield.
CAM: Matheus Pereira
Signing of the season so far. Contributed seven assists to the team which is more than any other player in the Championship. Should start again being integral to our attacking flair.
RW: Matt Phillips
Wasn’t at his best last week and struggled to track back towards the final 15 minutes, but should start again as he can be effective in home games.
LW: Grady Diangana
Another crucial part to our free scoring midfield. The West Ham loanee should start in the side again.
ST: Hal Robson-Kanu
Four goals in six games for the Welshman has surely seen him become the clubs number one choice striker. Confidence high right now and should start again after notching another goal last Saturday.
