It doesn’t look like West Bromwich Albion will be making any further additions ahead of the Championship run-in, amid Martin Olsson’s trial at the club.

Last month, the 48-cap Sweden international arrived at West Brom for a trial period, following his summer release from Swansea City.

However, according to Express and Star journalist Joseph Masi, Olsson’s trial was unsuccessful and he won’t be arriving at the Hawthorns any time soon.

I don’t think Slaven Bilic needs to bolster his full-back options for the time being, especially after Lee Peltier’s deadline day arrival.

Although Nathan Ferguson’s future is unclear, he’s done well this season with an average of 2.4 tackles and 1.7 clearances per game in 21 league appearances.

Darnell Furlong has also been a regular in Bilic’s side, with Kieran Gibbs, Conor Townsend and Dara O’Shea also providing quality in depth.

In my opinion, if Olsson couldn’t earn a contract at Swansea it’s probably unlikely he’s ready to be a part of a squad chasing automatic promotion and with his unsuccessful trial in mind, that could potentially turn out to be the case.

Do West Brom need another full-back?
