The Telegraph have claimed that West Brom are looking at the possibility of signing Xande Silva from West Ham United.
Having already captured Grady Diangana from their Premier League rivals, the report now states that The Baggies are interested in the winger’s former teammate.
Silva, 23 years old, has struggled to adjust to life in English football after joining the Hammers in 2018, making just two senior appearances for the club.
Slaven Bilic will be keen to further improve his squad after a lacklustre opening day outing against Leicester City on Sunday afternoon, with the Baggies needing additional firepower.
The Portuguese forward could be just the answer and join Diangana at the Hawthorns as West Ham boss David Moyes attempts to raise funds for transfer dealings of his own.
Silva, who is in the last year of his contract, could well be a viable sellable asset at the London Stadium as the Portugal Under-20 man is clearly not in Moyes’ plans.
The former Vitória Guimaraes man is desperate to get his career back on track after a quiet few seasons in London, including a spell on the sidelines after undergoing bowel surgery at the start of the 2019/20 campaign.
West Brom could well be the place Silva kickstarts his once-promising career once more.
