West Brom are lining up an offer for Swansea City ace Andre Ayew, according to a report from Ghana Soccer Net.
Slaven Bilic seems desperate to bolster his squad prior to the transfer window closing and Ayew has emerged as a potential target.
At 30-years-old, the Ghanan international may not represent a long term investment for the Baggies, however, with proven pedigree and Premier League experience, the forward could provide the much-needed short-term impetus.
Albion have had a tough start to the season and have shipped eight goals in total against Leicester City and Everton in their opening two games.
Whilst Ayew won’t fix the defensive frailties, the former West Ham man could provide a decent outlet as Bilic’s side look to play on the front foot.
With almost 400 career league appearances and almost 100 goals, including 15 Championship strikes last term, Ayew could slot straight into the squad without the need for adaptation.
It is not known whether Swansea would be willing to part ways with one of their most talismanic performers, with the South Wales club likely plotting a promotion bid of their own having narrowly missed out last season.
