West Brom set to announce the return of Filip Krovinovic
West Brom are expected to announce the return to the Hawthorns of Filip Krovinovic this week, according to Steve Madeley from The Athletic.
Baggies boss Slaven Bilic has been looking to re-sign the Croatian midfielder following his successful loan spell last season and it now looks as though a deal has been agreed.
Negotiations with Benfica are thought to have advanced in recent days and it now looks as though the 25-year-old will be a Albion this season.
The finer details of the deal are as yet unknown, with Madeley stating in his report:
The two clubs are still working on the exact nature of the deal and whether the loan move includes an obligation to a permanent transfer at the end of the season.
The Albion reporter went on to say:
At the moment, it seems to be heading towards a straight loan with no obligation at all.
Perhaps only a temporary move for now, however, should Krovinovic help Bilic’s men retain their top-flight status then there’s every chance the two clubs will be negotiating once more next summer.
Krovinovic played 43 times for West Brom last season scoring three times and assisting four goals.
