Kamil Grosicki‘s time at West Bromwich Albion seemed to be over as the domestic transfer window came to an end, but with the club’s latest Premier League defeat, the winger could yet be called in from the cold.

The former Hull City attacker joined the Baggies in the January transfer window and helped them to clinch promotion from the Championship earlier this year.

Since the start of the new season, though, Grosicki has yet to appear in the top flight, seeing himself the subject of interest from Nottingham Forest as the transfer window came to a close.

However, Forest failed to submit the relevant paperwork on time (21 seconds too late) and Grosicki has since been confirmed in West Brom’s 25-man Premier League squad.

Struggling to gain minutes on the pitch behind the likes of Grady Diangana, Matheus Pereira and Callum Robinson, the Pole could yet find himself given a chance by Bilic.

West Brom’s 2-0 defeat to Fulham on Monday night saw the former two players start but fail to perform, with Pereira giving the ball away no fewer than 17 times.

Bilic is still waiting on his first Premier League win of the season as the Baggies welcome third-placed Tottenham to The Hawthorns on Sunday.

Grosicki, who assisted three goals and scored one in 13 games for West Brom last term, may now be hoping to be given a chance and why should he not be afforded one?

The 32-year-old was once described as “unplayable” by his former Hull team-mate Jackson Irvine and featured no fewer than 15 times in England’s top flight for the Tigers, so he has previous experience of the division.

Bilic must make some changes in order to find that first Premier League win and it could be that the former Hull man has a point to prove at The Hawthorns.
