Many West Bromwich Albion fans have reacted to Matheus Pereira‘s performance against Fulham on Monday evening which saw him lose the ball 17 times.

Slaven Bilic’s side sit 18th in the Premier League after the defeat at Craven Cottage, picking up just three draws so far this season.

Goals from Bobby Reid and Ola Aina saw Fulham pick up their first league win of the season as Scott Parker’s side leapfrogged their vanquished opponents in the table.

Pereira came in for criticism from some West Brom supporters, his ineffective display seeing him replaced by Callum Robinson just before the hour mark.

The Brazilian was excellent last term in the Championship for the Baggies, scoring eight goals and contributing with 20 assists. However, from 33 touches of the ball at Craven Cottage last night, he lost possession a staggering 17 times [Sofascore].

Also, Pereira completed just 53% of his passes and did not record any key passes during the game [Sofascore].

Reacting to his substitution, some West Brom fans were left disappointed with the 24-year-old’s performance, whilst some put the blame on Bilic.
