West Brom manager Slaven Bilic will feel the pressure against Tottenham Hotspur this lunchtime as his job is seemingly on the line.
After defeat to Fulham, claims have emerged predicting a bleak outcome for Bilic if his side lose to Spurs. The Telegraph journalist John Percy was the first to claim that the former West Ham defender could lose his job only four months after gaining promotion to the Premier League.
With Charlton Athletic boss Lee Bowyer emerging as a potential candidate for Bilic’s job, picking the right team to face Jose Mourinho’s side will have been at the forefront of his thinking over the weekend.
Hal Robson-Kanu, Sam Field and Dara O’Shea are all unavailable to the Croatian as they are ruled out through injury.
Sam Johnstone will continue between the sticks for the Baggies, playing behind a back four of Darnell Furlong, Semi Ajayi, Branislav Ivanovic and Conor Townsend.
Conor Gallagher and Jake Livermore are expected to keep their places in the midfield but a potential change could come with Filip Krovinovic dropping to the bench for Romaine Sawyers, who was a regular starter in the promotion-winning 2019/20 campaign.
Grady Diangana and Matheus Pereira have not been at their best so far this term but Bilic is unlikely to drop either and that could mean further bench time for Callum Robinson.
Karlan Grant will continue to hold the frontline and be heavily relied upon to find the back of the net for the Baggies, with Bilic likely to make just the one change from the side which began the defeat at Fulham six days ago.
