West Bromwich Albion drew 1-1 with Manchester United this afternoon and both 90min and Birmingham Live cited Okay Yokuslu as one of many players who impressed.

The 26-year-old made his full Baggies debut against the Red Devils after an impressive cameo in last Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Tottenham and was an excellent shield in front of the defence.

Yokuslu played for 66 minutes today, had 29 touches, won two aerial duels, completed 72.2% of his passes, made two interceptions and four clearances, had one successful dribble and won two free kicks (WhoScored).

The Turkish international was brought in to turn over the ball, nullify the opposition and provide a calm head in midfield as West Brom have the lowest average possession and the second-worst pass completion rate in the Premier League (WhoScored).
