Okay Yokuslu impressed for West Bromwich Albion in Thursday’s 1-0 defeat to Everton and Steve Madeley of The Athletic says the 26-year-old may join another Premier League side this summer if the Baggies get relegated.
Yokuslu joined Albion on a season-long loan from Celta Vigo and has made an instant impact at the Hawthorns, but he may not want to turn the move permanent if he’s not playing top-flight football in 2021/22.
He possesses the combative qualities of Jake Livermore with the composure and range of passing of Romain Sawyers, so Sam Allardyce really upgraded two midfielders by bringing in the Turkish international.
Yokuslu has made five Premier League appearances for West Brom, won 9/11 aerial duels, completed 83.9% of his 137 passes, made 5/6 successful dribbles, blocked nine shots/passes/crosses, made 10 clearances, been dribbled past only twice and has averaged a tackle (5) or interception (9) every 25 minutes (WhoScored).
Prior to the 26-year-old joining, West Brom had shipped more than one goal on 15/20 occasions, but they’ve conceded two or more only once in his five appearances.

Albion would surely love to keep Yokuslu at the Hawthorns, but Madeley is right in his assessment. The Baggies are 19th in the Premier League and nine points adrift of safety, so relegation looks a possibility, meaning it will be difficult to hold onto important players.
