West Bromwich Albion suffered a 3-0 defeat to Leicester City on Thursday and Kamil Grosicki played no part in the game. The 32-year-old was once again left out of the matchday squad and hasn’t featured for Albion since mid-January, so he spent the time playing basketball with his wife Dominika Grosicka’s son.

Grosicki posted on his Instagram stories of Marcel Szaranek playing on a court while his Albion teammates fell short to the Foxes. It’s hard to see the Polish international returning to the fold before the season comes to a close, so he may have played in his final game.

The majority of Grosicki’s posts on Instagram aren’t related to him playing for West Brom. They tend to be him training or playing for Poland, grabbing a coffee in his spare time or having a barbeque, so he won’t leave with a heavy heart when his contract expires in the coming months.

Grosicki, who has made five appearances in all competitions this season, wanted out last summer before the deal fell through and wanted out in January but didn’t attract his desired suitor, so he’s effectively wasted a year of his career.
