On this day in 2015, West Bromwich Albion beat Chelsea at the Hawthorns and Sadio Berahino bagged himself a brace.

The Baggies won 3-0 against the Premier League champions in front of nearly 25,000 supporters, killing any chance of being dragged into the relegation zone as the season neared its conclusion.

West Brom took the lead in the 9th minute through Berahino. He collected the ball from Joleon Lescott and fired an effort from the edge of the box that flew past Thibaut Courtois.

Albion doubled their advantage just minutes into the second half through Berahino again. This time, he scored from the penalty spot after being fouled by John Terry.

And West Brom bagged their third goal of the game on the hour mark through Chris Brunt. He collected the ball from a Craig Gardner corner and rifled an effort past Courtois from an unfavourable angle.

Chelsea already had the Premier League title sewn up, so that might explain their poor performance. West Brom didn’t care, however.

In other news, this is the last time West Brom beat West Ham at home in the Premier League
