With the Premier League season finished, Kyle Edwards has the summer to relax as he wasn’t selected in England’s 26-man squad for the European Championship. The 23-year-old is supporting them from home, however, as he showed on his Instagram stories.

Edwards posted one picture of himself wearing an England top and celebrating their 1-0 win over Croatia. He then posted another picture, hailing match-winner Raheem Sterling for his goal at Wembley. The wide-man isn’t part of the senior squad but has had a taste of international football.

Edwards made one appearance for England’s U16s, one appearance for the U17s and six appearances for the U20s. The last time he represented the Three Lions at youth level was all the way back in 2019. The 23-year-old isn’t close to getting Gareth Southgate’s attention as he’s not even playing for Albion.

Last season, Edwards made eight appearances in all competition and amassed more minutes for West Brom’s U23s (450 mins) than the first -team (353). The wide-man is expected to leave the Hawthorns this summer too as he’s out of contract and surplus to requirements, so time will tell if Edwards can bounce back.
