Sam Johnstone may have a lot on his mind right now as he’s with the England national team for this summer’s European Championships and could be weighing up a lot of offers from Premier League clubs after impressing at West Bromwich Albion last season, but he’s not letting it affect him if his Instagram stories are anything to go by.

The 28-year-old shared a picture with Declan Rice at the JCB Golf and Country Club, presumably to have a game during their time off training. England beat the Czech Republic 1-0 on Tuesday evening and have booked their place in the last-16 where they’ll face Germany on Tuesday, June 29 at Wembley Stadium.

They won’t want to overtrain and risk injury or fatigue, so it’s important that players are relaxing in between. Golf is a pastime many footballers enjoy, so Johnstone and Rice won’t be the only ones taking part during the tournament.

They have plenty of time to prepare for the meeting of Germany and deserved some down time after topping their group without conceding a goal.
