Charlie Austin left West Bromwich Albion this summer after struggling for playing time last season, but he’s landed on his feet at Queens Park Rangers if his Instagram is anything to go by.
The 32-year-old scored twice as the Hoops beat Everton in the League Cup on Tuesday evening and shared a picture on social media to mark the occasion. QPR reached the fourth round via penalties and Austin stole the headlines.
West Brom aren’t doing badly this season, sitting five places and four points ahead of QPR in the Championship, but their strikers haven’t been firing of late – Callum Robinson has fired blanks in his last four league games while Karlan Grant has fired blanks in his last six league games.
Austin has three goals from seven games across the board this campaign and had gone three matches without scoring prior to the Everton victory, so he’ll no doubt hope to pick up where he left off in QPR’s next game.
Ironically, West Brom are the Hoops’ next opponents, so Austin will get an opportunity to show the Baggies what they’re missing on Friday evening.
