Dara O’Shea has been sidelined with a broken ankle since September and underwent surgery that would rule him out for approximately four to six months, but he’s making good progress if Callum Robinson’s Instagram story is anything to go by.

The 22-year-old had scored two goals in five Championship appearances before suffering the ankle fracture causing him to miss West Bromwich Albion’s last seven league outings. Three months later, he’s now walking and putting pressure on the injury with the help of a specialist machine.

It’s fantastic news that O’Shea is on his way back to fitness as he was a regular under Valerien Ismael. In his absence, a combination of Conor Townsend, Semi Ajayi, Kyle Bartley, Kean Bryan, Cedric Kipre and Matt Clarke have been given opportunities.

The Republic of Ireland international, who’s represented his country 10 times, has a bright future at West Brom, so his return will be eagerly anticipated. The early estimates suggest he could be back in November, so it’s a good sign that he’s putting pressure on his ankle right now. Robinson is certainly excited.
